MCS Great British Beach Clean at Braye
About the event
Join us in supporting the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean!
Every year thousands of people across the British Isles take part in the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean, a citizen science event.
For each clean, we will record all the litter we find in a 100m stretch. This data will help make a positive impact on our ocean by informing and influencing policy and making real change happen. The MCS's survey work has already led to the introduction of the plastic bag charge, the banning of microplastics in personal care products and better wet wipe labelling.
No need to register. Just turn up.
All equipment including litter pickers, rubbish bags and gloves will be provided.
Please wear sturdy shoes. Kindly prepare water and sunscreen if it's hot.
Any inquiries, please contact Dr. Mel Broadhurst-Allen at marine@alderneywildlife.org
