Harbour Fortifications Tour

Braye Harbour is a relatively new harbour, becoming the main harbour for the island only 300 years ago. Our tours vary depending on the group and interests but generally include a visit inside Fort Grosnez (conditions allowing), the first of 18 Victorian forts and batteries bult to defend the Braye Breakwater, and the breakwater itself described as one of the 100 greatest engineering achievements of the Victorian Period by the Royal Institute of Engineers.

Scheduled Friday 1.30pm from the Braye Beach Hotel or by arrangement.
