Latin name: Bupleurum baldense

Small Hare’s-ear is a very tiny umbellifer, growing to just 3-4cm in height.  Each of the yellow florets is no larger than a pin-head.  It is rare in the UK but quite common in the Channel Islands.  On Alderney the best place to find it (on hands and knees) is Longis Common or along the east coastal track.
