Latin name: Thesium humifusum

Bastard Toadflax is one of several nationally scarce species which can be found within the Longis Reserve, the best places to see it being the bottom of Longis Common and along the east coastal Houmet Herbe track.  Like Dwarf Thistle, this low growing plant with small white flowers and olive green leaves grows in short rich calcareous grassland, and it is partially parasitic on many herbs.
