Alderney's vibrant Living Landscape, the result of 12,000 years of human occupation, is rich in wildflowers, fungi and much, much more.
Welcome to a wildflower island. With stunning cliff top displays across the heathlands of the Giffoine and so much to see throughout the year on the coastal grasslands of Longis you can lose yourself in the grand displays and minute wonders.
What was that?
As you walk you might well discover a plant you do not recognise, with over 900 flowering plants who wouldn't. If you would like to find out more, or simply want to report a species, our team at the Alderney Records Centre (ARC), will be pleased to know and help.
You can also navigate to our terrestrial plant and marine plant galleries to view more high quality photographs of Alderney's plant life.
