Latin name: Silene gallica

The Small-flowered Catchfly is scare in Britain, but relatively common on Alderney.  It can be found at the western end of Platte Saline and the area near the Houmet Herbe trenches on the east coast.  The flower is usually white or pale pink, but if you are lucky you can occasionally find a variegated specimen.

Status in Alderney: Scarce
