Latin name: Scotopteryx peribolata

Forewing length: 13-15mm.

Locally frequent and resident in the Channel islands with immigrants sometimes reaching southern mainland Britain. It is found during its single generation of late August through September among prostrate Broom on the cliffs - when in the Channel Islands.

Identifying feature: A base of light grey is covered by several narrow brown cross-lines of varying tone. The bulge downwards in the middle of the third blackish cross-line is the most distinguishing feature.
