Being a small island, Alderney is surrounded by marine life. Much of this can be viewed at low tides in rockpools. Use the carousel above to explore some of the interesting species you may come across during a rockpooling session.
Please note: if you do go rockpooling please be very careful when walking across the rocks, for your own safety and the safety of wildlife. If you lift any rocks to see what is underneath please place them back where you found them - very carefully. Always leave nature in the state you found it in. Thank you.
You can also navigate to our marine flora and fauna gallery to view more high quality photographs of Alderney's intertridal life.
