Greenwood Project

The Greenwood project revives a woodland technique known as coppicing to manage a special part of the Alderney Community Woodland dominated by sycamore.

The project aims to improve the habitat for wildlife, to provide quality products to support local uses, and to offer the perfect scenario for greenwood craft skill training.

What does the Greenwood project mean?

Greenwood project promotes community involvement, sustainable woodland management, traditional knowledge and skills and the future development of quality products.
