The Wildlife Trust has produced a fine new 100 page spiral bound book (size 21cm x 21cm) about all things Alderney. Lavishly illustrated, the book is entitled 'Alderney - and introduction to the delights of this very special Channel Island'.
Compiled by Mr John Diebel (local painter and retired graphic designer), and edited by Mr Terry Gander (editor Jane's Year books, retired), the book has contributions from a wide range of local experts including Mr Trevor Davenport, author of Festung Alderney, and Mr Brian Bonnard, author of Flora of Alderney. Every contributor has worked free of charge with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Alderney Wildlife Trust.
The book has celebrity endorsement with Alan Titchmarsh describing it as 'a wonderful introduction to a delightful island, I shall read it in bed'.
