This is a complete list of birds seen on Alderney, its surrounding rocks and stacks, including Ortac and Les Casquets,and the islet of Burhou, since recording began in 1879.
The capital letters before each species show the bird’s status as it is today.
Some species have more than one letter after the name. For example, Little Grebe which is resident here and also occurs as a winter visitor
